First Bed Along Driveway
- Little Heath Pieris — specifically these, a substitution doesn’t have the same size or growth pattern
- Banappeal Anise — can handle the dense shade where the camellias are dying
- Any of the new varieties of hellebores. These are mounding and have upright blooms
- Pittosporum — Dwarf Wheeler or Mojo
Big Wet Area
- Nova Zembla Rhododendron
- Golden Dragon Yew
- August Beauty or Frost Proof Gardenia
- Ruby Spice Clethra — there’s a white variety called Hummingbird
- Perennial Hibiscus — Midnight Marvel or any perennial hibiscus
Other Fun Things
- Bloomerang Purple Lilac — reblooms 3 times
- Dwarf Fragrant Tea Olive — ‘Fodingzhu’ Osmanthus
- There’s a newer weigela that has lime leaves and deep pink blooms…. I am still trying to find the name on it
