Less is More — Bye Bye Liriope

This property is in an enchanted section of the development, where summers are shaded with a nice breeze. I was called to help bring some color to an all green color scheme.

The conditions were a transition of sun to part sun. Morning sun and late afternoon shade.

Goal:

  • Clean out and relocate some of the liriope
  • Create more of a welcoming entrance at the steps
  • Lots of color: limes, blues, and purple
  • A “less is more” look
  • Low maintenance
  • Blooms spanning multiple seasons
